La Turchia è davvero bianca come la neve?

Per chi ancora considera la Turchia una meta per le vacanze, ho esitato un po’ su questi due temi: la neve o i diritti umani?

Sì, ignorare che in Turchia in inverno nevica pecca un po’ di orientalismo e significa anche aver perso due film superbi della nostra cinematografia: Yol (La Strada di Yılmaz Güney e Şerif Gören. Il film, uscito nel 1982, vinse la Palma d’oro al Festival di Cannes) e Uzak (di Nuri Bilge Ceylan, anche lui premiato a Cannes in Francia). Anzi, approfittatene per rivederli e saprete di cosa parlo.

Ma il nostro Reis ha già avuto occasione di parlare della neve, quindi sarò breve su questo.

Metà dei paesi nella parte a Est e a Nord hanno chiuso le scuole, a causa delle nevicate abbondanti. E a Bahçesaray, nella provincia di Van, il 4 e 5 febbraio, più di 40 persone…
